Another way to chat outside the browser and on your mobile device is to integrate your Offerchat account with the imo app on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to monitor chats and interact with customers on the go.

Download and install imo from the AppStore.

If you’re already using the app, jump to Add an Account.

Steps to Integrate Your imo app with Offerchat

Sign in to the app

If it’s your first time using imo, the app will ask you to create an imo public profile. You can choose to go through these steps by following the instructions on screen. For the mean time, just click Sign In to start setting up the live chat account.

Add an account

Scroll down the screen, find Jabber, and click.

 

Input Offerchat account details

Enter the email address you registered for Offerchat without the punctuation marks. That is, without the ampersand (@) and dot (.) and then use @realtime.offerchat.com to complete the email.

Example:
Offerchat registered email address is [email protected]
In this case, it should be [email protected]

Then type the password you’re using for the live chat account. Lastly, click the blue Sign In button located in the upper right.

Start chatting

You’ll be brought to the messaging screen and see your site visitors. If you have set up proactive chat triggers, your screen will alert you of every new message it will receive.

Update (4/10/2025): To avoid any conflict on the display name on the widget and to ensure the widget on your site displays the name you want to appear, set a display name on your Account settings in the Offerchat dashboard. See this post for step-by-step instructions.
